Hello everyone.
It is our pleasure to welcome you to our website.
Being the product of the amalgamation of Urmston Infant and Junior Schools in 2017, we are extremely proud of Urmston Primary and everyone involved in our community, particularly our wonderful children.
We believe Urmston Primary School is a special place with a clear ethos of learning together and caring for each other. Our school values of being kind, happy, responsible, respectful and resilient are at the core of all we do and mean that our children are developing into young people who we are tremendously proud of. Our motto is ‘Growing Together. Empowered to be more.‘ and we are thrilled that our pupils are increasingly finding ways of ‘being more’ and being the best they can be – for themselves and others.
This year of 2026-27, is our year of self-awareness and connection...not just for our children, but for everyone in our school community. We believe that inclusion and belonging must be part of a culture and a set of values which stem from being 'consistent, compassionate and connected'. In order for everyone to have this sense of feeling safe, valued and feeling like we all belong, we first need a real understanding of who we are - what our strengths are, what we find hard, how others can help us, and how we can help ourselves. Being self-aware helps us to empathise and be able to forge deeper connections with others and understand others' needs; it enhances our capacity to be resilient and independent, and make a positive contribution to an inclusive society. These are goals we all need to strive towards and we welcome you you to come and find out a little more about how we do it here at UPS.
I hope that you find everything that you might need on our website, but should you not, then please just give us a call or, even better, pay us a visit.
I’ll see you soon perhaps.
